Post-Philippines Trip post: reflections

Well hello there my almost-worthless blog space. It's been ages since I last logged on, but who's counting... really. Anywho... the past three weeks have been... well... words really can't describe. It's been filled with so much happiness and all other emotions that, needless to say, were just absolutely possitive. Aside from a few hitches along the way, this three week holiday... sorry... vacation was just everything I could have wanted.

Before we left... I really wasn't expecting much. I guess it's because I already knew that no matter what I'll enjoy this trip. So many things to do... so many people to catch up with. Yeah... 11 years can do that.

11 years without seeing your homeland... without seeing your family... it's really torture to the heart... to the soul. So many things changed. I could hardly recognize the places I once knew so well. Worst of all, I grew older without the rest of my family.

I envied Marcus and Agnes so much since most, if not all, of their family members from both sides are here with them always. They have seen and will continue to see each other as time passes by. It's far more challenging for me, an expansive ocean separates me from them with distances of 6000+ miles from the Phils and just a bit less from Aussie. Establishing contact and close relations wasn't exaclty within reach.

We did a lot of things while we were there. Travelled, attended a wedding, seen people and places, and so on. But the thing that I trully miss most are my cousins. On our three week holiday, we bonded and pretty much cemented our relationships. It's as if 11 years hadn't passed by without each other. I get teary just thinking about them...

Currently... I'm not feeling all that well. Somewhat depressed from the rather abrupt end... yada yada yada. I was planning on writing my daily journal from the trip but I guess that will have to wait till tomorrow or something. OK... I'm gone. I still want to look at the photos that were just recently developed. Goodnight!
